Position:                     Dress Makers: 10 positions available

Location:                   Auckland

Our client is a high-end Bridal Atelier with a new, state of the art workroom located in central Parnell. They are looking for experienced Dress Makers to join their team. The successful candidates must be familiar with all aspects of garment construction and machining to a high standard.  

 Key Responsibilities:

 

             Full garment construction.

             Required volume of garments in a timely manner to the required standard.

             Plain sewing.

             Overlocking.

 Skills, Experience and Attributes Required:

 

             Proven garment construction and machining skills to a very high standard.

             Experience in working with fine fabrics, lace and trimmings would be           adventageous.

We are on the look out for  experienced Outwork Machinists.

About the business 

Our client is a high-end bridal manufacturer with a new, state of the art workroom located in central Parnell. They are looking for experienced Dress Makers, Sample Machinist or CMT operators (for Outwork) to join their team.There is  even Outwork options for Machinist and Dressmakers to work from home once trained.

The successful candidates must be familiar with all aspects of garment construction and machining to a high standard.   

About the role 

Main Objectives of the Machinist/Dressmaking/Sample Machinist Positions:  

  • Helping out with various tasks in the field of garment construction as per instructions from the Production Director.
  • Effectively time keeping on a job by job basis to enable job costing and budgeting.
  • Alert the Production Co-ordinator with any concerns or issues in a timely manner. This may relate to stock of base materials, machinery, or anything else to do with the working environment.
  • Production of new garments, sampling, alterations on existing garments and alterations on vintage garments.
  • CMT's must be able to deliver consistent  quantities of work throughout the year to a high standard.
  • Work from home option.
  • Free Health insurance after 1 year of service for Inhouse and Outworkers.
  • Free breakfast on working days.
  • Gorgeous work environment.
  • Proven garment construction and machining skills to a very high standard.
  • Experience in working with fine fabrics, lace and trimmings would be advantageous but not essential.
