Role Description

This is an amazing opportunity to join an iconic NZ brand looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead and inspire the product development team, delivering extraordinary product and effective volume and GP management throughout. This is a senior position and you will be experienced in the management of all product design and development from planning through to design. You will work with the Designers, Garment Technicians and Managing Director to ensure collections are delivered on time and in the best quality possible. To be successful in your application you will also have a strong knowledge in contemporary fashion and accessories, and excellent communications skills.


The role:

Oversee the management of all product design and development from planning through to design ensuring the team are always ahead of seasonal timelines.  Work with the Designers, Garment Technicians and MD to ensure collections are delivering the best product for our customers to the right GP. Ensure continuous improvement of the Planning and Design processes - Deliver unique and complete ranges to market in New Zealand and beyond.

Oversee all graphic design responsibilities. Ensure the Graphics team understand the annual plan and are working to a planning cycle to deliver all graphics outputs each season.

Oversee Inventory level management. Manage the buying of inventory from seasonal indents through to continuous inventory purchasing of core product programmes.

Process improvement in Planning and Design. Enhance efficiencies through implementation of consistency and innovation of the processes throughout the brand ensuring continuous flow of product to match timelines.

People management and development. Develop the team consisting of Garment Design, and Garment Technicians to ensure continuous success for the individuals and the business. Ensure that the team aligns to the company values, to work with the team to deliver on all responsibilities.

Continuous improvement. Deliver continuous improvement across the planning and design functions, supply and support the business in the transition to new processes.

Financial contribution. Deliver agreed financial KPIs including GP gains to COG’s.
